Union Church Loves You and Misses you -Here are ten reasons to come back to church after Covid -19

• We are humans in need of community – We are not just pixels and screennames, or headshots on Facebook live.
• The Church is one Body – Each of you, our members, are a different body part, but we are intricately knitted together (Eph 4:15). We need your presence. We are hurting without YOU
• The Spirit is drawing us- Not only are we one body; We have one Spirit (Eph 4:4), the Holy Spirit, and he loves us being together. The Spirit within us yearns for us to be together, so he is drawing us back together.
• We are a Spiritual Family – God is our Father and so we are all spiritual siblings. God’s Household. Just like our parents, God loves when His family is together and worshiping with one heart and mind.
• Preaching is a sacred Moment- God’s word is best communicated live. So much of communication is not the words spoken, but the tone, the facial expression, and the interaction. When we hear God’s word taught in our church, we resonate not only with our risen Lord and his royal word, but with each other. A feast enjoyed together is better than food eaten alone.
• There is nothing like singing together – there’s no experience on earth like congregational singing (Ps 95:1-2) Singing together glorifies God by re-enthroning Him in the hearts of his people. Winston and Connie do a wonderful Job of making our worship glorious.
• We need Baptisms and communion - Baptism and Communion reminds us that God communicates to us in sensory ways. We taste and touch and see and hear the gospel.
• You have a Job to do – You have a job to do. The work of ministry isn’t mainly for Pastors and readers. It is for every believer. This means YOU. Every person has been given gifts and those gifts were given for the greater good. Someone in church needs your gifts.
• Worship is a witness – Each week our friends and neighbors and coworkers walk though the same broken world we do, but they are watching us to see if we really believe what we say and if we live it.
• Greetings change lives – When we are together, and we greet one another, the greetings make others feel God’s love at work. These greetings symbolize the reconciling power of the gospel and foster our family dynamic. We need each other.
