Wow! We are already half way through the year. Can you believe it? Time is such a fleeting thing. It goes by so fast and yet it is time that each of us can’t get enough of. Some days we spend the time that we have running around and not accomplishing much of anything. Other days we seem to transcend time and we get more than we planned done. Time is one of those gifts that God has given us to check ourselves and make sure that we are staying on track. Does God really care about time? Does he worry about how much time we waste? Of course, He does - but He really worries about what we do with the time that He has given us.
How fleeting time is. God wants us to be conscience of the time we have and to use it wisely, to be conscious of others and use the time we have -to build up the body of Christ here on earth. God knows time does affect everything that we do~ He understands that we are temporal beings and he wants us to appreciate this gift that He has given us. We may need reminded to take this opportunity that He has offered us, and use it to the best of our ability. None of us knows how much time that we have in the future, but we do have the present time, so use it wisely.
That being said, we are moving into the summer months when we take time to slow down and focus on resting and some of us take time off from coming to church. Faith is not something that God wants us to take a break from. You see, faith is another gift that God has given us. Faith will teach us to appreciate the time He has given us and the opportunities that we have each and every day to share in His work of redemption. We have an awesome God that has everything held together in time.
