Our Journey of Faith
I am excited to announce we are at the start of our Program year (September to June). Together we will be looking at new ways to do God’s work. The last three months we have focused on our relationship with Jesus Christ and what it means to be His disciples. We have a responsibility to grow in our faith and to live by that faith, and to draw others into a relationship with Jesus Christ. I hope you will join us on our journey of faith. As disciples of Jesus Christ one of our callings is to always be growing in our faith. Just like we are continuously growing physically, we need to continuously grow spiritually as well. How you choose to do this, is a personal decision between you and our Lord Jesus Christ. One of these ways are by gathering in worship on a regular basis; we grow by gathering with other believers and we feed one another’s faith. By growing in our understanding of Gods word – a Bible Study. This is a good thing to do even if you go to church on Sunday, because the ten to fifteen minutes that the pastor has to give a sermon is not enough time to really understand Gods word and work in our lives.
With that being said – we have had a bible study class meeting on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 since June. I know that summer time is busy for everyone and now that we are into the fall and getting back into a regular schedule I hope that YOU will consider this important way of understanding God’s magnificent power and love in your life. We will be starting on September 22 a new program called THE STORY. It is designed for all those who don’t know the bible and are unfamiliar with the way that it relates to their everyday life, life in the twenty first century. The Story is designed to read as a continuous story without chapters and versus and it shows how the bible is very relevant to us and our lives. There is no cost involved and it will be a great way to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, and with each other. It is a very non intimidating way of having some fun and learning a lot about our faith together. I invite each one of you to please make time for it in your busy schedules now. I know how busy we are but if you make it a priority then you will be more likely to follow through. I hope to see all of youstarting in September. There will be more information coming out in the near future.
