Journey with Jesus
Have you ever looked at life as a journey in which you grow closer to Christ throughout it? All of the events of your life are put there to either show you the love the Christ or allow you to be the instrument that God is using to show His love to someone else. Each one of us has a calling, a calling from Christ, and it is not something that should be taken lightly. Christ is calling us to recognize his presence among us and share that with the people that God has put in the path of our life. What an awesome responsibility! We are to be Christ’s instrument to build the body of Christ on earth. God doesn’t make mistakes. He has chosen you to enlighten others about his wonderful and powerful love. WOW!!
The bible is the way that we learn about what God wants from us and what he asks us to do. It is the story of our return to a perfect relationship with him. Throughout eternity, God has wanted nothing more than to have a perfect relationship with us. After we turned our backs in the Garden of Eden, God has been trying to restore that relationship. That is the upper story (God’s plan to get us back). He uses our lower story (the events of our daily lives) to accomplish this plan. The more we recognize his presence and work in our lives, the more we realize how much he loves us.
I want to personally invite each one of you to take your faith to a new level. Come to the bible study on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. It is an engaging time. You will learn a lot about what God is doing in each one of our lives. We have studied the Old Testament and on 2-17-16 we will be starting the New Testament. It would be a great time to join us and really come to understand your faith and what God is doing for you. I know that we are all busy and there are a lot of things pulling you in different directions, that is why taking time to refresh your soul and enlighten your faith is not an extra burden, rather a way that God can strengthen you and give you the energy that you need to accomplish all that you have on your plate. Please consider joining us. Talk to someone who is already attending and see what the bible study is doing for them. I know that you will want to join us. May God continue to bless you in your journey of faith and fill you with his Holy Spirit.
