Wedding Experience

​I have just gotten back from doing my niece’s wedding in Spokane, Washington and I am amazed at God’s beauty. As I flew out and back I just gazed out the window and couldn’t help but pray. God is so good. The beauty of just flying over this fantastic country and looking down, and seeing it from God’s point of view. It makes our troubles seem so insignificant, and the overwhelming presence of God’s Love was boundless.

I landed in Oakland, California for a layover and watched as people were hurrying and just caught up in the hustle and bustle of getting to where they had to be. I thought to myself that it is we humans that rush through this life and make it into a rat race. God wants us to slow down and enjoy what he has given to us.
When I got to Spokane, I was greeted by my sister and brother-in-law. It was wonderful to be with my extended family, but I really missed my family being there with me. The rehearsal kept us busy for awhile, and then the men played golf and the women went into town to shop.

Saturday was hectic getting things ready for the wedding, but it was a lot of fun. The wedding was beautiful and everyone had a great time. It was an outdoor wedding and the venue was gorgeous. The couple were made for each other. It was an awesome “God moment” to watch them begin their life together.

The next day it was back to the airport and I could not wait to get up in the air again to see God’s beautiful handiwork. When I got home to my family, I couldn’t help but thank God for all the beautiful things that he has given us to enjoy. I truly am a very blessed man who has a terrific Boss!!
