Trusting God’s promises

I want to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers during my family’s health scare. It is amazing to be part of such a wonderful faith family where everyone cares about you and is there when you need it. Going from a wonderful vacation babysitting our granddaughter to being in the hospital and undergoing double bypass surgery on the most important person in my life, was a bit much. Knowing that God was with us every step of the way was amazing. Not knowing what we needed throughout the whole thing was another thing. Then for the church to take up a collection to help with meals and all the incidentals that we had to get when she got home that we didn’t know about or plan on. God has been with us, and he shows up in you and your prayers and actions, and I can’t thank Him or you enough.

We are now into September our fall program kick off month for the year. This is always an exciting time as we look forward to the ways that we can minister to the surrounding area. Please join us on September 6th for a explanation of why and what we do in worship and to see all that we have planned for the year. Then we are going to celebrate with our church family with a picnic service at Brimfield Park September 27th at 11:00 with a potluck to follow.

We need people to step up and take on some new volunteer roles this year as we have had people who have put in time and need a break. So please consider getting involved in a new way. Please check with Ginney or Rev. Steve or Coleen to see where the needs are. When we all work together, we can accomplish so much more. I know that we are all busier than we have ever been and time is hard to donate somewhere else, but if you want a fun and exciting place to donate time -We are it.
